How We Helped the Banda Family Get Back on Their Feet

Published

The Banda family of six had been living without electricity for over a year after losing their main source of income. Their three children had dropped out of school, and the family was surviving on one meal a day.

When Zed visited their home in Kanyama compound, he found a family full of dignity but broken by circumstance. Within 48 hours, Pamulomo Zed Show had raised enough to reconnect their electricity, restock their kitchen, and pay school fees for all three children.

The father, Mr. Banda, wept as he thanked the community. "I never thought strangers would care this much," he said.

The Outcome

The Banda family now has electricity, food security, and all three children are back in school. Mr. Banda has since started a small vegetable garden to supplement the family income.
